City of Santa Fe
The City of Santa Fe chose Amano McGann back in the days of DOS because of the flexibility of the system and comprehensive reporting package. The City used distributive controls in order to allow garage management to stay on site.
Recently, they upgraded their system to Amano McGann Professional® and reorganized the decision process to a centralized management station. Like everyone else, the City is forced to do more with less. Utilizing all the latest mobility tools, the City parking staff now has the greater flexibility in marketing parking and staying mobile.
The three City owned facilities are networked together so that one card does it all. A person has the option of leasing space at a single facility or multiple locations. The City has the ability to assign access with one card and one click of the mouse. In addition to monthly parking, the City allows individuals to prepay for parking, bypass the cashier lane and decrement down the value of the card at any of the locations.
The system is composed of 14 gates, 14 proximity/mag-stripe card readers, 5 ticket dispensers, and 6 fee computers.
